contest Growdown Throwdown 2019 Sri Lanka - Chilli Red!

Still waiting... might need to add some more diesel fuel.

New year, new light!

Side note - I had the worst stomach flu that I can remember last night.  I barely made it home from work.  It went from zero symptoms to bathroom floor in under an hour.  I couldn't leave the bathroom for more than 30 minutes.  I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital.  Then after 8 or so hours of agony it let up - back to feeling 80% OK by morning.  Watch out for that one!

Love the lights, and glad you're feeling better. We had some nasty stuff down here a few months ago; I won't go into details...LOL

WOW! Sure glad to hear you survived that. It is NO FUN, having had something similar a few years ago, the day before I was to leave for a 2 week vacation in Hawaii. I left work at noon, and was that weak when I woke the next morning, I couldn't make it down the stairs. Somehow I packed a suitcase. Hubby tells me I slept from Chicago to Honolulu.

Thanks!  It seems to be making its way around the country.

More than I should have spent on ANOTHER grow light. :D  At least it wasn't a holiday with family and everyone around.

Wow you're a trooper for still making it to Hawaii!  I was a crab___ yesterday.  My wife probably would have left without me.

Unsurprisingly, Japan has yet to grant me the gift of international seed reception. But I'll be clearing out my three-gallon bags this week, so when those sexy Sri Lanka Reds (are they Communist sympathizers?!) arrive, there will be a springboard to supreme mediocrity awaiting them!

My seeds arrived today, thanks Walchit! I didn't think they would make it that fast over the atlantic and the local working attitude over the holidays, but here they are!

That puts me in a rough spot somewhat.  I expectet them to arrive much later, but now there is NO WAY that I'm waiting until end of january like I intended to.

I guess Week 2 is more or less middle of January which is almost exactly like end of January. Also I have some chinenses to try out this year so I should better start early anyway

Planted two and they are enjoying moist, 95+ degree dirt.  I've had great luck at these temps with annuum and baccatum varieties.

I lived in Fountain Hills for 12 years, used to go to an R/C field between Mesa and AJ. I remember freakin' at damn near 20 foot corn stalks. That stuff LOVED the AZ heat!
