Growing in numbers - Help!

Hello hot heads and pepper experts!
Do I have a novice question for you. Some context:
This year I've decided to grow all of my seed reservs (30 seeds) which is a huge leap of my previous method - babysitting 3 plants. The question is:
What container method to use best to have the least maintenance - water less and preserve more moisture?
I don't know how often I will be able to cater to their needs (presumably 2-3 times per week). And I wouldn't want to kill off everything I have.
The though was:
1) All in cups but a shared water container to just water and go. May dry out or evaporate too quickly.

2) Have an elongated bigger pot and plant multiple plants in one. Soil may retain moisture better but has limited space.

3) Have a few best plants with me and babysit them again.

What do you think? A medal to anyone who read this.
