Is anyone growing potatoes this year? Just wondering if anyone has any good recipes for a perfect mix to plant them in? I know potatoes will near enough grow in anything but are there any secrets or tips to get bumper harvests?
 
east coast of canada(prince edward island) is prime, red clay and sand. i am at the base of the rocky mountains and have the gray clay and yukon gold potatoes do great.

I've just got me some chicken manure pellets so will probably end up tossing a few handfuls in with some levingtons manure and some John Innes soil and hope my taters do better than last year : s
