Guatemalan Peppers

Looking for info on peppers native and unique to Guatemala. There’s not too much I’ve found online. I have seen a pepper called, Chile Cobanero or Cahabonero chile, but haven’t found much in searches. Thanks in advance!

I think you want to look for c. annuum v. glabriusculum.

I have seen those. The original pepper I listed seems to be the hottest from the region though.

I grew a variety called "Petenero" a few years back.    From the Lake Petenero region of Guatemala.     Habanero type, with a flavor like the Bahama Goat.
