Habanero?

I found some of these at the local store. Said they were habaneros. do habaneros ever get this shape?

Not all capsicum chinense are habañeros

What is pictured looks like a chinense.

A red C. chinenses of some sort. Although bonnet shaped, I have yet to find a real red Scotch bonnet that consistantly looks like a bonnet

it was pretty hot and had loads of placenta. strong smell and sweet taste. very good on nachos! im going back to see if they have more. at 7 bucks a pound that little guy cost me 20 cents haha

No most looked like habañeros. I always check out what's fresh at the market when I get a chance so that when I see something like this I snag it. I wish they had all looked like that cause I would have cleaned them out!

I'd say scotch bonnet as well. Nice find, it's pretty hard to find these at grocery stores (in my area at least).
