Habs Update

Here are some pics of my orange habs. How are they looking? They have been growing for about 1 month and are starting to explode in growth.

Thanks for any helpful replies I havent used any ferts yet but potted them in new soil last week. Also I dont have any epson salts or CalMag what can I use instead?

I really dont see a need for epsom salt or calmag or anything at this point. Your plants look extremely healthy and happy. great job!

Orange Habs are looking good. I love the look of the habs growing, pretty color and bushy. Just make sure not to over water. Make sure to post more pics as they grow!

I think I will start using 50% tomato fertilizer every 2 weeks starting the next time I need to water. Hopefully that wont be too much.

hello hab dude

it looks like you got things pretty well under control
nice color, nice appearance, looks like they are growing well
can tell you have good feel for the needs of your plants
the one thing i see you may wish to adjust on is

please fill the containers more full you look to have
the beer cups like half full (half empty)
you will need to pot up or "fill up" rather sooner than later
as you will have roots hanging through the drain holes(probably
already there if you look).
what size container is your grow out going to be?

be sure to overfill a little when transplanting to leave
only a small amount of unused pot space(capacity)
bigger root volume equals ± bigger pepper volume
the grow media settles a little(shrinks)when you add water

They were in the same cups a week or so before with half the soil in the cup. I pulled them out and added soil to about 2 inches from the top of the cup as is in the pictures. Maybe it look lower because of the angle but they are about 1-2 inches from the top of the cup. Anyway the roots were not even close to root bound with 1/2 full soil a week ago so I am thinking another 2-3 weeks in those cups will be good. Next cup size will be 2 soda liter bottles cut in half and then milk containers. But I am trying to get to the 30th of this month because then I can put them outside in big pots to grow full size.

oh,
i thunk you had wrote that these would be indoor peppers
be careful trying to "harden" these as it is precarious(sp?)
and they can get cooked if you are too enthusiastic

Yes they were going to be inside but I am moving at the end of this month to a place with a backyard and full sun. I will probably keep a few inside just to keep them safe and so I can experiment on them. They are growing very fast even just overnight they have grown noticeably bigger in just 1 day!
