I have been visiting this forum for a few weeks now and decided I would join! I am an amateur chilihead/gardener and cook. I have always enjoyed making my own sauces and have decided to give a few super hots a try. I have read several threads about it on here already, but post your favorites for a "usable" superhot with flavor. I am not into hot just for the sake of hot. I am a Military husband and father of 3 (2 teenage girls ughhh). My grow list for this year is as follows:
Jalapeno
Mucho Nacho Jalapeno
Anaheim
Big Jim
Ancho
Caribbean Red
Cayenne
and what I believe to be Chile de Arbol. I rescued the plant from a local nursery. It had been hit by the frost and they gave it to me for free! No label but it had some pods I saved the seeds then sauced and roasted/crushed the rest (warm nutty and delicious). It is putting out new leaves already! Gotta love south facing San Diego windows! They claimed it to be black cobra??? Anyone know the difference? it has the goatweed appearance, but the new leaves are still real small and everything was drooping/dead when I got it so I couldn't tell it the pods were upright or not???
Looking to add that first true but flavorful superhot...thoughts???
Gotta go...I hear the young ones rustling...ready to see what Santa brought.
Once again Merry Christmas!!!
