Hello from California

I have always love the way pods look on pepper plants, but never got into growing peppers due to where I live...central coast California , where it never gets hot enough for peppers to grow well. So why am I here? We finally have a greenhouse this year. Yay for me! I have been collecting seeds like crazy and sowing them. I have about 10 varieties growing right now and another 40+ (and growing by the week) varieties of seeds waiting to be sown. I am lucky enough to have a husband who would buy any seeds I tell him I need (he's the online shopper). I came across this forum and hope to learn from all of you the different varieties. Glad I am not the only one who is "you and your peppers" as my husband say to me often...

Welcome to THP from Sonoma

If you are close enough to the coast you could probably grow manzano/rocoto year round without a greenhouse.

Wow from 0 to 40+ you don't mess around!!!! :) Great luck on your Grow would love to see some pics!!
Welcome aboard shipmate! my wife didn't even like black pepper when I first met her now she's a full blown chili head!! :) you must bring the hubby to the chili zone!!! :)

Way to go 40+ plants, your going 0-100 on your driving test, well done :)

There is so much knowledge on here it truly amazing, not to mention some very very good people.

Look forward to seeing your posts and progress, just don't forget pics!

hogleg, thanks for the tip about manzano and rocoto.  I didn't know they can take the cool weather here.  Wow, I learn something already!

oldsalty and JohnsMyName, no, I don't waste time.  Life's too short.  So I usually dive in head on.  Might be my slight OCD nature.  Just a very slight one.  haha.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.  Looking forward to learn more about peppers from all of you.
