Chris from Ft. Lauderdale Florida here, 50 year old architect that loves all things hot. Most of my friends call me "Crispee" a nickname a picked up while working on a long time project in the out islands of the Bahamas. As the story goes I forgot to use sunscreen on a construction site and turned bright red from a rather bad sunburn, so some of the locals started calling me "dat crispee chile tingum" and it just stuck.
I also make my own hot sauces, and enjoy playing with new and different flavors. My friends and family thing I should do it commercially but for now just enjoy the process. I started growing my own peppers this year (MOA Scotch Bonnets, Mortgage Scorpions, Datil, Thai Birds Eye, and some Fresnos).
