Nice eh lol... when I got there in 1996 that place was nothing but woods and our bases oh and few gentlemen establishments... now there is Wal mart etc so considering what it was till when I left in 2008 I guess it's nice..

Yeah that px is pretty big plus the commissary as well... However both are nothing compared to Camp Pendleton though in California...

I have been to Pendleton many times my friend as my son was a mortar man with 1st LAR for 3 years or so at Camp Pendleton. Went to Mainside many times while there.
That base is huge! I believe they have 24 Subway restaurants on that base. Seriously!  ;)
Jacksonville is way different now. Hotels all over, restaurants, stores...
