Hello from Ottawa

Hi everyone,
I'm glad I found this message board! I am living in Ottawa, Canada which means that my growing season is shorter than some. But I have been able to pull off some great peppers in the past, and hopefully I'll continue to have some success. I will put up a few pictures along the way, because I loving sharing images from my garden and am interested in getting some feedback and tips. Sharing experiences makes everyone better at what they do.

Wow Potawie, I checked out your pictures on Flikr and the purple peppers look absolutely amazing! What do they taste like?

I'm not sure how they taste this year, but they are bred for their ornamental features and not for flavor. When I sell ornamental peppers I usually tell customers that they are hot peppers and are good for adding heat to a large dish but not really the best to eat fresh. The pods usually have lots of seeds and not the best texture. I'm trying hard to find a really good use for them, I may try fermenting some
