All my plants were starts from the store, and they all grew fine, and each gave me about 1 pod on average. I figured that they needed sun, and my garden gets all kinds of direct sun. But the few that had some shade did much better. So, next year I'm putting them in pots, and moving them around to find the sweet spot. Our season was kinda weird too, so it might not be all my fault.
 
Going to start my own this coming season, and try a few techniques I've seen poking around the forums.
