Hello from West Virginia

I love gardening and growing my own food, and I've tried through the years to grow jalapenos and never had any luck with them.  I've had seed failures and pests destroy the plants.  However, this year, i've committed myself to giving  peppers another try so I've been researching the best way to grow them and have success.  I've already learned a lot.

I'm going whole hog and growing heirloom jalapenos, jamaica hot choc, habaneros, red savina, bhut jolokia, and yellow 7 pot.  I bought most of these seeds off Amazon, so I'm hoping they stay true and I'm able to get these things to produce for me.  I know I'm getting a late start, but I'll plan to overwinter the super hots.

I enjoy spicy foods and look for taste when it comes to spicy foods.  I don't eat hot just for the sake of blowing my head off, but I look for great tasting products that produce lots of heat and have my two teen girls liking spicy as well.

Welcome aboard!  You've come to the right place to learn how to grow all species of capsicum.  Do lots of reading through the Glogs and you'll find out how and what works best for the growers here on THP.  Good luck this year!
