Hello - New Here

Hi,

Just found this site... Been trying to grow hot pepper for two years now with no luck or some luck. The bad luck I have is the deers that keep on biting on the plants. Some luck I have is trying to save the plants and get one or two pepper. Hope I do well this year.

Tie some soup cans to some stakes with a couple of pebbles in the cans with a trip wire you can reset. The deers hit the wires and the cans make a noise and scare away the deer, you will need to set the trip line several times, but it works
or you can put up a live wire system that will shock the deer, then there is the sprinkler that can be set off by motion. Also you can buy deeraway which uses scent to scare them off. Best of luck with your peppers this season.

Wildseed - I actually had a net fence about 5 ft high. I guess they jump over it. I will try to set some cans/bells to make noises. As for live wires I don't think I can do that. I may shock myself.

Masala - I don't know why they nibble at the plants, I end up tearing a bit in the morning time when I saw what had happen for the last two yrs.
