pests Help identify these big white bugs

Hello, I saw what looked like little spiderwebs in between some branches of my plants, I thought it was some type of spiderweb / spider nests. I looked closer and it was one big looking white slug type of bug. There were 3 of them and I just sprayed them off with Neem oil solution. Any ideas as to what they are and how to prevent them? I live in a very tropical hot humid climate (80% Humidity, 75-90F year round)
