Help with these gnats!!

Yeah I had the deformed leaves in the beginning too until I was shocked and saw the larvae crawling out of the soil! I Literally jumped! The h202 treatment was given after I saw that- what a sight to see em all squirm about! Did that before uppoting from cell trays as didn't wanna bring the larvae on board to new soil, and the h202 knocks out beneficials in the soil like probiotics and good microbes.
So you are in coir and still got them? Are they moldy or what? I was told they don't like coir but obviously I heard wrong..

Hey Tristan, I'm using coir however I have a quite large container for my tomato plant which has already produced some fruit this Winter and that container is full of pretty poor quality soil. That is where the problem started.

Check out these pictures and see if the leaves look like yours did.

My seedlings are now suffering leaf damage and I haven't really overwatered according to the smaller seedlings that kept shriveling up. I guess it's time to treat either way. I may not have initially asked the question, but I appreciate all of the advice in the thread. Thanks everyone!
Well it makes me feel better that I'm not the only one having this issue so I'm glad this has been helpful to other people as well. I posted some pictures of the leaves check them out and see if you had similar looking issues with your leaves

Absolutely man.. Same gig unfortunately :-/ and they are pervasive bastards too.. I still deal with some new growth coming out like that although I don't understand because I'm only killing a flyer or two once every other days.. Maybe they're getting the **** out of there as that azamax is bad stuff! I got a bunch of the pure stuff on my hands before reading the SDS and definitely felt the Chem burn as well as the systemic absorption effects later in the day.. Gloves from now on! Applied once and improved my watering habits and with the aza, and things are under control. But yeah on the youngins that's what they look like. Poor roots! I was seriously pissed and thinking about throwing in the towel and starting over but it's too hard when your babies get bigger and still show vigor!

This is all part of "trial and error", and hopefully if you're a developed individual like you or myself (I now live in TN so there are many people that cant handle doing self-analysis and personal constructive criticism), you will always remember for one-and also have the ability to correct or prevent similar problems in the future.. Thus is life! Ok--->Good--->better--->Best!

Attached some older photos from earlier this month so you don't feel alone, and that all is not lost!! Last pic is 3 weeks later after treatment. They'll get over it as long as you can get the problem under control. I'm also trying to find out where to get some sand or rocks, and then the adults don't wanna lay their eggs there. Main thing is to disrupt their reproduction and life cycle. Which is why I like the aza. It's an insect growth hormone regulator so even if they reproduce they have serious conditions like down syndrome/cerebral palsy sort of thing where they just don't make it on their own. Next uppot if I can afford it I will buy some bti dunks and mix it with the coco coir I just got in the mail.. Did you buffer yours?

-Tristan
