Hey OMRI! (The ZOHAN)

Wow, never been so conflicted.

From the ridiculous accents, to the # of americans poorly cast as non-americans, to the stupid jokes and lack of humor,....the first half of this movie SUCKED!!!!!!!!!

The second half had some of the funniest moments I have seen in any movie lately. No joke. I nearly peed my pants after I had pretty much left this movie for dead.

Worth seeing, I guess.

Wouldn't mind Omri's view on it.

Honestly, I don't understand how you people (American that is) find it funny at all. those are all "inner jokes". even the music is Hebrew. one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. ALL OF IT. the beginning is pure awesomeness.

I watched it and thought it was ok. It had a decent message, but some things like the humus toothpaste were just corny. The fake accents were a little tough too... but it is pretty funny nonetheless. Omri, I think there are more Hebrews in NYC then there are in Jerusalem, I think I got most of the jokes. Do you have an example of a cultural joke that Americans wouldn't get? Just curious.

It wasn't especially funny because it had secret jokes only I understand. the movie is about how YOU see US. yes it's way exaggerated, but that's what so funny. the part about the swap and Zehev the spy made my eyes tear. that was SO FUNNY! I've seen it so many times and it never cease to amuse me. so are everyone else I know who watched it.

The military base... c'mon! that's a CLASSIC!

BTW the movie is mostly laughing about the Israelis and Palestinians, not Jewish and Muslim people... there's a HUGE difference.

Right on! Not what I expected, but thanks.

Maybe some jokes in the 1/2st half I didn't get, but the ones I did get weren't funny.....at ALL!!!! It was too farging cheezy.;)

The second half was brilliant, however. Maybe that part was for us yanks...

BTW you said something about "ridiculous accents". the sad thing most Israelis do sound like that when *trying* to speak English. the "Khengoroo" part was weird, because it sounds the same in Hebrew as it does in English.

I actually asked around after reading this thread. everyone I know LOVED that movie.

Lol loved it all the hidden jokes and the hummis thing sheesh it was funny as hell
(its not that big...no the bush..its the bush its like a cushion the women love it)lol

I thought the movie was dumb!!
though I have 1 question, about that crazy drink he always drink. I'm assuming it's a fake drink ? do you guys have crazy drinks that look like that ? (I had to ask!)

We have fruit flavored drinks that apparently sounds stupid to you guys. add comedy to the mix, and you got the weird drink in the movie.

what I mean do they look something like the bottle shown in the movie, so colorful.
I know every country has their own stuff, I was just wondering if the movie went over the top as for portraying the soft drink.
