Hi Gals and Guys,
I've lurked here, off and on for a long time. I figured it was time to join. I'm in Cleveland, Ohio. Hence the nic neoguy, for Northeast Ohio.
We're avid gardeners and have been for nearly 30 years. I have a small backyard garden, about 450 sqft, and I have 2 community garden plots for another 1000 sqft. We grow a wide variety of vegetables, but my passion the last 10 years or so have been heirloom, or open pollinated tomatoes. I’ve always grown some of the hot peppers, but nothing more extreme than the usual habs. A couple of years ago I started to trade for some new to me peppers, and I have found a new passion. Some of the folks here may know me from another place, I’ve trade with some in the past and that’s why I decided to finally join. I can’t say it’ll replace my tomato passion, but it is close. At home we grow in raised beds and in pots, I try to bag blossom my seeds at the home garden.
I’m at a different computer at the moment and can’t list what I’ve grown, but I can tell you I had an pleasant eye opener with growing and tasting some Caribbean Seasoning peppers last year. And, this year on the other extreme I’ll be growing, Bhut Jolokia Chocolate and Trinidad 7-Pot Douglah, in addition to many other varieties.
I look forward to learning much more from you folks.
