Hostile Growing Conditions

I had an extra Piquin this year that needed a home. I decided to use it for a lighting comparison so I brought it to work. I work in a shop with pretty good lighting, but even with it I didn't expect much. It certainly was not near as many lumens as I had reared it with..... Lo and behold, it is flowering though! That's the good, but there's some bad too.

The lil guy has been up here for about a month now. The last week and a half, maybe two, it has started to get burnt tips on the leaves. Now it's getting burn spots elsewhere. My thoughts are that it's all the nasties in the shop working their deathtrap on it. The other thought is that it may be a change in PH from the same nasties. Any thoughts?

I made a cover for the soil with a duct taped piece of paper to keep any oils or coolant from getting in the soil. It's only been on for a day so too soon to see any results.

Could be a little bit of anything Woody. If you are working around harsh chemicals, that little guy could be taking up some yummy stuff through its leaves. If you could, during the day put outside to soak up some good sun and fresh air. Maybe it will help.

Good luck bro!

looks like nitrogen burn maybe?

is it a chance some of your "friends" at work have added some uric acid?

i do not know the situation there but coworkers can do "poor" jokes from time to time
