hot banana peppers - color when ripe

Growing some hot banana peppers from pepper joes...anyone know what color these peppers are when they are ripe?

they're from pepper joes? they'll ripen as an Orange Habanero.

they already have some 4+ inch peppers and are definitely not habs:-)

Can be eaten at the yellow stage, but are much nicer red ripe, as Potawie said.

They should hit their peak hotness just before fully ripe although they may taste a wee bit hotter when still slightly green, before the sweetness develops

Edit: Slightly yellow, not green in this case
