I can see a time in the not so distant future that peppers will be outlawed , they will be classed as a dangerous weapon home grown TERRORISTS could use against the innocent ... it could be funny if it weren't inevitable .

 
A scary thought. I am imagining vans of police in chemical and biological warfare suits turning up at my house and carrying away my chillies.

they are in some countries....pepper spray/mace
citizens are not allowed to have it cuz their gov't considers it a weapon.
then they figure people can make their own = some stupid laws from some stupid gov't

which countries have outlaw their citizens the right to have pepper spray/mace....then stupid gov't thinks people will make their own.
so lets makes some laws to regulate chile growers, since you know they could hurt someone with their dangerous plants (sarcasm)
 
no proof of it happening now but I wouldn't put this past any european gov't, thats all I'm saying....
