We got a new superstore in town, WinCo Foods. It's amazing.

The place is friggin' HUGE, has ethnic foods sections, produce i've never even heard of, bulk foods like crazy...etc, etc. And, it's (mostly) very cheep.

Here's some of my Hot Haul tonight:

Nice man!

If you think that stuff is exciting, you should come check out some of the markets in my area. It'd blow you away like it has been for me. It helps having a huge Southeast Asian/Indian/middle eastern/hispanic population sometimes.

Thing that got me is no other store has decent fresh habs, much less red jalas. AND, they were cheaper than the half-rotten crap at other stores.

They had like 4 other kinds of chiles incl. fresh thai chiles, and a whole asile of dry chiles and spices. Crazy for this whitebread town.

Nice score Quads, now whatcha gonna do with it? Can't wait to see.

I was recently in a Hy-Vee grocery store and they had 12"x12" boxes full of fresh orange habs, green and red jalapeno's and pablano's and several I couldn't ID. The orange habs were $4.99 per lb. My daughter had to drag me away, I was just standing there trying to take it all in.

Well, took one box of 1/2 lb pretty habs and made powder last night. :D
