Hot weather

What should I do with my potted peppers? There is 2 days of 100 degree weather coming. I could move them to the shade to reduce all the extra radiant heat; however, the air temp will still be 100. Dont want all the new flowers to fall off due to heat stress.

Since they're mobile, I would move them. If they're already hardened off, you should be good. But if you can't water them, I would say giving them a bit shade will help.

You'll be fine. Still going to get down to 60 degrees at night. Damn that is 40 degree swing within 24 hours. Crazy!!!!!

In Reno, we typically see 30 degree swings, sometimes more. For us the issue is winds that become the issue associated with it.

Are they in black containers? If so, perhaps spray painting them white will help. You could also construct a simple and quite cheap shade cloth contraption with burlap. Mulch as much as the pot has space for.
