soil-media How do I increase soil PH?

My plants currently have a soil PH in a range of 5-6. They're indoor plants of varying strains.

Is this problematic and how will the effects show?

What can I do to resolve this?

P.S.
Should I move my light closer?

My lights for my indoor winter garden are farther than that and everything does fine, you should be good there.

As for PH: I would be absolutely terrified of mucking with the PH in containers that small. They'll be perfectly fine at 5-6 - I wouldn't mess with it.

You can add biochar to ur mixture.

Soil biologist Elaine Ingham highlighted its suitability as a habitat for beneficial soil micro organisms.[55] She pointed out that when pre-charged with these beneficial organisms, biochar becomes promotes good soil, and plant health.

Biochar reduces leaching of E-coli through sandy soils depending on application rate, feedstock, pyrolysis temperature, soil moisture content, soil texture, and surface properties of the bacteria.[56][57][58]

For plants that require high potash and elevated pH,[59] biochar can improve yield.[60]
