Rymerpt Feb 25, 2016 #1 I'm not concerned about cross breeding. How many plants can I put into a 5x9 foot plot? I don't care if they are squished, but want a decent yield.

hogleg Feb 25, 2016 #2 I'd say fifteen, 3 rows of 5. Remember packing them really tight can be a real bitch when battling bugs or sickness. A lil space between gives you a chance of treating a single plant before it spreads to others. Â Happy Growin' RymeÂ

pepperguy1 Feb 25, 2016 #4 15-20'' apart to 15-20'' apart.I would put some Marigolds around them, maybe in there with them. The tight places can be a real  like hogleg mention. Also depends on the type of pepper.I would put the bigger ones on the outside to help stop the wind.
