I wish I had kept it...I took a home economics class when I was in the seventh grade (1961) and THAT was one of the pages in the text book....honest...

It went away because not just one but both of the parents in the household had to start working to support the family...IMO
 
Maybe that explains why so many modern homes have so many bathrooms and the His & Hers washbasins...to avoid the queues! :P

The Bradys had it right from the beginning...
 
AJ I agree with your last point... if I didnt have to get my a$$ up out of bed each morning to earn the $$$$ I'm sure I'd be a lot nicer to come home to!!! not sure about that pretty-ing yourself up part though... what you see is what you get!! no false advertising here!
 
The women in the south were taught to be ladies by their mothers (mostly overbearing) and the few girls that took more to the tom boy side always got along with the guys better. When I was in 7th grade, the girls still dressed just like the girls in grease (the movie) and we all thought the "sock hop" days in the gymnasium were worth waiting on.

The men were taught to be men with an attitude that no matter what happens, using your head will usually get you out of any fix you are in. Work hard, play hard, and love hard.

Never say anything to anyone you wouldn't want them to say to you and ALWAYS respect your elders.
