how to scale down a peck of peppers

I was given a recipe for a hot dog relish using hot peppers. It calls for a peck of jalapenos, a quart of mustard, a quart of vinegar, and so on...obviously making a large batch of relish. I have no idea of how much is in a peck of jalapenos, so how do I scale the recipe down to a smaller batch? Any help would be great! I got the recipe from someone who has since passed away, so I can't ask her, but I guess the relish is supposed to be absolutely delicious. Thanks for the help.

Welcome from Asheville, NC! Be careful.... Passow lives in OH.....

1 US peck = 9.30917797 US quarts

This may help! If you have to scale it down further, you can simply ask Google a question. I got this answer by asking, "How many quarts in a peck?" The autofill actually gave the answer before I entered the search!

Gee, that was too hard...groan. I did google the question but didn't ask it in those terms. That gives me some idea of how to try to make this relish and give it a try. Thanks!
