how to stop flower groth?

My old reaper is starting to produce flowers now, and I want it to grow longer and stronger branches before it does. Is there any way to stop flower growth and encourage leaf and stem growth?

Pulling the flower might be suffient but I'd also tear off a leaf in hopes of tricking the plant into thinking it's getting eaten. Make sure plenty nitrogen is available for the plant to grow. I'm no expert so I'd wait till a few more chime in before you taking my advice haha

True. Do a test on npk. See where you are. Taper your feeding to be more specific to n. As you get near ideal growth, switch back to pk. 2 cents.
