Howdy y'all, from Texas!

Thanks, all!

Florida_country_boy, NMSU is a reputable source, but unfortunately their minimum order requirement is a bit discouraging, particularly given that all the other seeds they sell (mainly mild/commercial varieties & ornamentals) are things I'm not interested in!

Given that AFAIK Dr. Paul Bosland is still running the show down there, I'm surprised they don't carry a lot more exotics in their catalog! But I guess they cater more to the needs of the New Mexico Commercial Chile Farmers, than to the hobbyist grower.

geeme, I'm in the hometown of the proud Texas team that is one game away from being in the World Series this year!

Don't feel too bad about being in the "frozen north" - this past summer, I know more than a few people down here that wouldn't have minded spending a little time up there in your neck of the woods! It was a real scorcher - even the pepper plants were unhappy!

What part of the midwest did you land in? Were you in Houston during Hurricane Rita?

Naga Jolokia Addict, NorTexChiliJs, AlabamaJack, cjbrewer5, wow, it's nice to see so many locals in here! Are there any local events or groups that you are aware of or participate in?

:onfire: :woohoo: :hell:   :onfire:  :onfire:  Welcome!!!!!!!!! From New York!

Hello Laserguy, Welcome to the forum. Here is a link that might interest you.

http://www.zestfest2011.com/

I will be attending this event. They do not advertise it but it is $10.00 per person over age 5 each day. I believe there are a few other people here attending.

I HAVE GOOD BHUT SEEDS IN THREE COLORS IF YOUR INTERESTED

THANKS YOUR FRIEND JOE

capsidadburn, thanks for the link! That looks like it might be fun! Do a lot of companies exhibit there, or is it more a small/regional show? Is it mainly food/sauces, or do they have any growing-related stuff too?

Howdy, Penny!

ajijoe, MOST DEFINITELY! - THANKS!!! :D

What colors are they?

Also interested in your "Super Seed Sale", had a question about that, will post something in your thread on that shortly!

Thanks, 915river!

LG, I don't think there is much, or any, about growing. You can check the link for the previous 2009 show. You can also look at the floor layout to see the companies for this show. There is still some room for more. Normally this is in Sept. and in Ft. Worth but they made use of the pre-Superbowl weekend traffic. Also the new convention center in Las Colinas.
