Hugs scotch bonnet leaf?

I've been growing some scotch bonnets the last 2 months, in my airing cupboard with cfl bulbs, and in the last week or two a few of my scotch bonnets have took off, the plant is around 3 inches tall, but one of them has leaves which would be 2 inch by 3 inch approx.
Is this common in scotch bonnets? Would It be worth leaving them grow out, or prune now?
I'll try and get pictures tomorow.

The more leaves you have on the plant, the light it can absorb as energy. Why prune it off?

Typically they have large leaves.  No worries!

Thanks, it's my first grow so wasn't too sure weather it was because of over watering, too much light, too close to the light etc...
