issue Hydroponic pod size issue ?

Hi Guy's

I've a question for the old grizzled hydroponic experts here 😉

I have three large " 20 litre kratky " chilli plants Bengle naga, Dorset naga, Reaper x Moruga..........all are 3-4ft tall and as wide dense leaves and branches lots of foliage and very healthy.

However I've noticed the Bengle Naga is producing small roundish pod's and the odd normal shaped pod and the Dorset Naga is producing much smaller pod's than I'm used to 🤔

At first I thought it may be due to light due to the heavy thick foliage ......however my Reaper x Moruga doesn't seem to be effected and is producing normal big pod's ! 🤔🤔🤔

My 20 litre Reaper x Moruga the Bengle naga and Dorset naga are identical in size and shape ......but very different in pod size .

My Dorset naga in 20 litre Kratky hydroponics this is the bigger pod many are smaller? The Bengle naga has smaller rounder pod's ?

However.................

The Reaper x Moruga in the same set up is producing normal pod's........? I'm at a loss as to why ??

Hi Guy's

I've contacted my hydroponic manufacturer directly regarding this issue................there conclusions were similar to mine but included seed quality.....

My Dorset naga comes straight from Seaspring seeds so DNA is spot on not dodgy e-bay stuff plant's are in the same sized containers in the same solution mixture sitting side by side so I'd say the environment is identical !

This brings me to the hypothesis that nutrients "must" be the only varient............. 🤔

I'm assuming the Reaper x Moruga is a very hungry plant/variety compared to the Dorset Naga...........🤔

I'm experimenting reducing the nutrient ratio for the Naga and possible increasing it in the Reaper x Moruga I've a Purple Death in 5 litre kratky too which is a compact plant but near identical to the same plant in 5 litres of soil .

It would be interesting to hear if other hydroponic growers have experienced some plants being more hungry than other's ?

My outdoor Kratky Rocotos are in the same mix and seem to be enjoying it the mixture...............🤔

Rocoto Montufar doesn't seem to mind......
