I’m new to growing chili’s, but I’ve been trying to grow this chili from seeds from two fruits I picked from a plant found when walking down from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes in Peru September 2015. It’s not super high to be in the Andes and the plant was growing approx. at 2200m/7200 ft. above sea level. Sadly I didn’t picture the plant, but it was a rather small plant (I guess 1 meter high). Fruits were red with black seeds. I managed to grow two nice plants 2016, but my Peruvian wife insisted they should be outside in the fall. Sadly the frost hit early here in Norway 2016 and the plants got roughed and up and died without producing fruits. I had some more seeds and the plants are growing nicely this year and I’m happy to see some fruits coming.
I guess it’s some sort of a rocotto, but the fruits are by far smaller than the regular rocottos I’ve found in the different markets in Lima.
Any ideas?
