Alright my friends,
I now feel the pain when you receive purchased seeds and they are not what there suppose to be.
I purchased (jalapeño cracked) from a very reliable seller. I will not mention who sold me them, because I know it wasn't on purpose and too much good comes from this seller.

The part that hurts is I started these plants back in January and now are very mature plants and taking a whole row of my soil space.

At first when the peppers were developing I assumed they are gonna be very long jalapeños and will thicken up later. They have not but are getting even longer and look more like a long serrano. I doubt it's a Serrano as it does not have fuzzy leaves. I will most likely yank out all but one plant.

Does any of you know what these are?

I will email the seller and hopefully they can make it right.






 
Definitely C. annum, and they are very "cayenne" looking but it's hard to know much beyond that.  If they ripen to golden then I would consider that a win because the Golden Cayenne is pretty tasty, in my opinion.
 
I'd say they are definitely not serrano, kung paos or jalapeno.

Very healthy plants by the way.  If it was me I'd trim the few leaves at the base of the plant that are touching the soil; for disease  prevention.

I have 35 plants in ground and 35 in containers. I would just put some container plants there, but hopefully they have a great flavor or they will be yanked out. I hate to do it.
It's too bad for a lot of my promised family members and friends won't be eating jalapeños they thought they were going to get.
 
Well if this was me.I'd be a little upset about the (not 'cracked jalapeno') the plants being different than what I expected or purchased and happy at the same time because they aren't BELLS!GROW 'EM OUT WHO KNOWS MAY BE BETTER THAN JALAPENOS!
