I saved every bad pod from this years grow.

So now it looks like I have about 2 pounds of dried out pods that wasn't worthy of using, Mostly Sun scald was the culprit.. I figured I can harvest the seeds But what to do with the dried pods?  I would hate to waste the pods I was thinking use as pest control anything else they would be good for?

I have half gallon of superhot powder from bad pods or half ripes picked before potential freezes.  Will use next year to keep the racoons from digging up my plants as they seem to like the smell of the fert or the bonemeal I use.  They don't seem to like getting their noses in superhot dirt though.

That's a good point jcw.  Moles and Voles.  I think my wife spread cayenne to deter voles when we lived in Virginia.

Not a great idea to do it indoors, but i simmer them in water and use them in a spray on many garden items.  Keeps some of the pests down.  Also, scatter at back fence line.  Not sure if it helps keep the deer away because I use other things, but they do stay away.
