Hay all, thanks for all the responses.
I have contacted the vender and they apologised and are sending another batch of seeds.
The reaper seeds they sell come to them pre packed from a 3rd party and they are passing this issue on to them.
Ask them if they will replace the six months that you have spent growing these. ;)

Pepper_Rancher - I seem to have much better luck on Ebay than most folk.  PM your Ebay name or link to me.  I buy and sell there, but much less selling now that my site is hitting more.  Less fees n all.

I dont have any pepper related things for sale right now, but I sell business spreadsheets all year and a bit later in the season I will be selling live black soldier fly larvae, and eventually I will sell some fresh pods.

At least they are replacing them. Sucks your down time :(

It's A respectable company that offers to make it right. Shit happens, I don't see why to make a hassle from it. They can't see what will grow from those seeds and are possibly replacing them by the dozens. They probably took a harder hit than the consumer.

It looks like a tasty thai pepper anyway..

I have tons of seeds for reaper-not isolated.
If you PM me and want an SASBE I'll send you seeds.
Since they aren't isolated, grow several out to insure the possibility of getting the real thing.
Several sources didn't isolate buds but said they only grew reapers.
SO as long as the guy next door didn't grow bells, they should be cool.
BUT in my experience, reaper isn't stabel in general.
The seeds I got from ed (through a trade-un opened pack) put out a couple pod variations. Were a LOT different in heat ,taste etc.
Some I wouldn't call super hot either.
Your mileage may vary...

Actualy.... I am starting to wonder about mine too. They came from a UK seller and are supposedly Smoking Ed's Carolina Reapers. but is it just me or are they growing a lot more like Annums than Chinense...

That is not growing like a chinense.
Yeah, I agree. the seed leaves are too big, the whole plant is too upright, the leaves are a bit too narrow for my comfort. But I paid for Reapers.

No biggie. I will just let the seller know that they might have had a bad batch. I mean... nearly all chilli seeds look alike...

I have tried one of the chili's today, and there is no heat at all to them.
I think that even if they were a cross they would still have some kick.

They are kinda like a skinny bell pepper.

On the other hand, i received my replacement seeds and i am currently tying to get them to germinate with "the moist paper towel in a zip lock bag in a warm area" method i was told about

Suchen - Have heard that a lot about Pepper Joe.  Thing is, I distinctly remember ordering from him as far back as when his catalog was more photo copied list.  To date, never had a problem.

Me either but that was several years back when I ordered from him last.
