Identifying grandpa's pepper

So I feel like I ask this a lot, but whateverr xD.

So my grandpa had a few pepper bushes in his back yard and gave me some pods
he said they were both different pequins. I know one is for sure, but the other one looked different and smaller so idk.

Here they are

-Thanks !

those look like the ones i can get in my wife's village. they called it cili padi or rice grain cili.

Willard is is right

there are so many species that look like that

such as

VARIOUS PEQUINS
PIRI PIRI (SM DIABLITO)
RAT TURD (probably not they look too big)
various other bird peppers from the world over

WELL I CANT REALLY NAME THEM ALL I THINK YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

THANKS YOUR FRIEND JOE

nice looking pods there dude dude,

the deal with chilis is the growers will typically name them
so that they tell one from another the local markets
here in los angeles area calls the c. pubescens:
"manzanos" but i was introduced to them as "perón"
and your family in peru calls them "rocoto"
this is because the local's when referening to them 'always' call them that

when we ask for chili verde for instance at a restaurant we will
get some different things at other places, like it is local style

you go to different kitchens when you want different stuff

like the food truck thing i have been having a blast with lately
a "barbeque pork slider" is different at every truck

{call the chilis from abuelo as he does for tradition}

There are lots and lots of piquins, just like many cayennes.

yeaah thats truee.

it is important to keep family traditions

please understand same thing can be called chiltepin, piquin, or tepin
but because you were told by the grower
(your grandad)
you will call it as he said it, won't you?
