Thought I might do a shameless plug. My noise band, I Like Pie, will be opening for the Twelve Twenty Festival at Now That’s Class (11213 Detroit Ave, Cleveland, OH) (December 20, 2008). Doors open at 8PM and I’ll probably be going on at 9PM. The night will consist of Noise/Anti-Music, Stoner Rock, and Heavy Metal bands and there’s an awesome beer selection there as well (Great Lakes, Unibrou, etc etc). Tickets can be purchased at the door for $5 (I believe).

So if you like strange music and good beer, come on out and support the bands (we need money for more beer).

Noise music? Is that kinda like making noise banging shit together incoherently? If you ever need a backup shitbanger, just feed me a bottle of tequilla and hand me a stick.

Ahh. Noise MUSIC. I can make the first part :)

Pretty cool man. Do you use any of your noise toys you were working on building? I remember your thread asking for pieces.



On a related note, I got this speech synthesizer chip from like the 80s from a friend. It doesnt do text to speech conversion, but it has a bank of "allophones" which are sounds. Like the "ch" sound "a" sound etc. So you have to use several allophones to make words. I just got it about a week ago and been reading about it, i'm gonna hook it up and see if it still works.

So I worked out with my friend the set times for everyone and we estimate this going until 2:30 AM....ugh....I hate late shows.

LOL, nope. But I did smoke a J. Really an awesome gig and Assassin Whole Mouth Mouth just trashed the place, very artsy. I'll post a pic in a day or two once I get it from my friend.
