Supposed to hit 55 here tonight..my habs and jalapenos are loaded with flowers...so i brought everybody inside just to avoid the heatbreak of watching my plants drop all their flowers.

Flowers wouldn't drop at those temps... Late spring/ early summer, also late summer/ early autumn those night temperatures are not uncommon over here in the UK. The plants don't suffer.daddytindell said:

and yes I woke up this morning with massive blossom drop on some of my plants and it got down to 60º last night with a light cool rain...we've been having rather Scottish weather for the last 2 weeks anyways.

Days/ week of crap weather won't do them any favours. But the odd night down to 10-11C is okay.ikeepfish said:

60° is not going to cause major flower drop. Plants will put out flowers in low 40s. If we are talking about chinense(which we always are here),they are notorious for flower drop. Inconsistent and overwatering(North Atlantic has been ridiculous) will make them drop.

I'm just glad to have a couple days of no thunderstorms. The winds we have been getting have been beating up my plants.
Been in 90's here with the cooling trend, crazy wind though. Wind ran off with a cutting it pulled out of a pot. I still havent found it.
And yeah, I'll take dry heat. I lived in Malaysia with the wet hot season.. ugh, I hate when your scalp itches from the humidity.

2 brainstrains, seed where grown from the same pod. Both sowed at the same time together, and have spent there lives together growing in compost from the same bag, and next to each other in the same grow house.
One started setting pods 4 weeks earlier then the other with very little flower drop. The other plenty of flower drop.
No damage at all, temps and the sun are up. Plants are doing great!
