Interesting Discoloration

It's on 3 plants. Any ideas?

Forgive the Staples background. My scanner kept cropping the leaves & wouldn't get a good pic otherwise.

Pester away, I have a little of that on 2 stunted plants. I'd like to know too. It is referred to as necrotic tissue (I believe) and will never recover.

Isn't necrotic tissue just dead tissue/cells that can be caused by abrasion or infection maybe old leaves get it too?

I think it is usually caused by a fungus, but I am too lazy to search it right now.

I had something similar happen to a few of mine. How far away from the lights are the leaves?

The lights are anywhere between 3 & 5 inches depending on the plant and any of 4 light fixtures.
