Is it a jalapeno?

I thought this was just a regular jalapeno at first glance. I am a beginner, but I have never noticed stingers on them before. Of course I lost the seed label as well.
Thanks

is this one of the first pods on the plant? have you gotten other pods from the plant that were normal or had tails? i`m no expert but i would equate this to be kind of like a birthmark where this may show up here and there but not be on all pods.

Well, I just got home. I took several pictures. Most didn't turn out well. I think it is probably just a regular jalapeno variety. I had just. Never seen it before. The fruit is much smaller than the other jalapeños I'm growing as well.

They look like jalapenos to me. Maybe a little bit of an untypical shape but that plant is still very young and/or small so once it matures I think they'll be what you were expecting
