Is it normal for Reaper to turn PURPLE??

This is one of my reaper, it start with good shape at first. 
but!!!  It turns to be PURPLE from bottom recently. 
Is this a kind of normal variation? or fake carolina reaper?
OR, Thanos did something obscene to my reaper?

Just looks like a little suntan to me. Happens with a lost of peppers, but noticeably more with my reapers.

Pretty much all my ghost pods turned a little purple in spots before starting to ripen.

If I remember correctly, turning purple like that is usually a phosphorus deficiency. Mine did that until I fed them right, then it stopped
