Is it to late now

I have some new seeds that I would like to start but do you think its to late in the season to start from scratch -- I will be moving operations indoors when it starts to get cooler in the fall....

Its definitely very late for seed starting. What do you plan on growing?

If they're going to go inside, does it make a difference when the seeds are started? You have all the greenhouse experience, so I'm asking. My over-wintering consists of struggling to keep the plants alive so I have have an early start the next year.

I kept a Grenada Seasoning pepper alive this winter by keeping it on a small flatbed and wheeling it in and out of the small, dark utility room on nice days. It looked pretty rough this spring, but I'm already getting ripe peppers off of it.

Plan to start some Purple tiger seeds

I was just going to bring them inside under grow lamps and lamps to keep them warm.

I can wait ... I was curious

Starting small seedlings in summer heat can be a challenge and bringing plants inside nearly always causes bug problems especially if you are growing and not just overwintering. If you plan on growing indoors, you probably want to grow more compact varieties but it all depends on your setup. Beware of the aphids.

You can do like I do.
Keep the plants inside.
Near a window or under lights.
I just use my HPS 4 hours a day and my plants look very happy.
Once it gets cooler I will keep the lights on 16 hours.
