I had to update this thread. After talking with a few of you on here, I just left it for dead. It wasn't taking up any room and I've been gone from home for a month so no attention required right? Well look what I found when I got home.
 

 
 
It may take a while to get back to where it needs to be but I call that progress. Do any of you recommend cutting that stalk or just leave it be?
