Is this a Cajamarca?

Did it start out purplish Paul? I grew this last year and it didn't do very well, I think it had five pods on it total. They were slightly rounder and shorter with a rounder end. I would say those probably aren't a Cajamarca. '

How's the flavor/heat?

Pat, I haven't tried the pepper yet, as I don't have any that are ripe, but yes it did start purple - and very vivid too! Definitely not a round or even roundish pod...

I actually thought it might be a Fatalii until I checked the name, but colour is waaaay off. :-)

looks kinda like an Aji Norteno, although from what I understand they don't start out purple or have as much of a tail!
