chinense Is this MustardGum NagaBrain true to type?

So, I thought this was supposed to ripen to a greenish color.. And these are in the apricot peach range.. Finally getting color in the calyx.
Flowers, pods, and leaves were all purple.. At least starting out (and with enough light)
And.. How much further should this color creep before I know they are ripe?
Any insights welcome and appreciated.

Of the four of these, two have passed and I still have two. Of the two, one of them produced the pod above, and the other just makes these odd looking flowers. Sterile? Producer flowers on the left, mutant on the right. Otherwise the plants look very similar.

And here again, the whole plants. Greenish leaves are from the winter.

Interesting, I also grew a MustardGum NagaBrain last year that turned peachy (no calyx though).. Squeeze it to see if it gets soft, if the answer is yes, it's definitely ripe!
