ive overwintered 10 plants..this is my scotch bonnette and I have a few others doing the same thing..I want to know if this is weed ir a part of the plant

Thats what i reckon too, i hope it aint a plant because i rip out anything that looks like that

It certainly survived. It has some nice new green growth on the stump. Hope mine look like that come march. Please give us more details on your overwintering. Several of us are going for this method. Thanks
