Hopefully this thread can stay on course and not inadvertently stray from topic. Next season I an going to attempt to implement some isolation strategies. One of which will be gluing the flowers shut prior to them opening. The other unfortunately is an added expense. I will have to construct some form of plant isolation nets. It is here that questions are sure to emerge.  What is the most suitable netting for this purpose and where can it be acquired. Or is standard netting from fabric shops carry.
 
What attempts and successes or failures have other members tried?

The idea of branch isolation did cross my mind. Not to the extend of paint strainer bags though. I will look into those as a viable concept.

Draw string tea bags. A little more tedious than branch isolation though.
