Jamison's 2012 Grow Log Now overwintering

[background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Hello everyone and welcome to my very own Glog. Got a later start than normal this year but I'll keep em under the lights 24/7 til end of May or early June, properly harden off and plant in 5 gallon buckets. All seeds came from Pepperjoes.com and pepperlover.com. Also one Burpee seed. Soaked seeds overnight on 3/27, and all went into coco pellets the next morning and placed into a propagator for germination. As soon as I had a sprout the dome came off for air circulation. Last Saturday, took all the sprouts I wanted mixed up 1 part perlite, 1 part vermiculite, and 3 parts Promix organic soil , took the netting off around the pellets and planted into the oh so famous solo cups, with holes drilled in the bottom of course. They have been under a 4 tube, 2x4 foot, 54 watt T5 since sprouting. Very impressed with that light. When seedlings finally start vegging I will be hittin em up with the old Fox Farm trio . Grow Big, Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom. Also got some Organic CalMag that I might experiment with.[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Here is the line up:[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Pepper Joes:[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Giant Bhut Jolokia[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Scotch Bonnet[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Hot Cow Horn[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Butch T Trinidad Scorpion[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Anaheim[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Hot Jamaican[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Burpee:[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Hot Lemon[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]PepperLover:[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Bhut Jolokia Red[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Scotch Bonnet Red[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Scotch Bonnet Yellow[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Naga Morich[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Trinidad Seasoning[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Early Jalapeno[/background][background=rgb(233, 216, 193)]Here is where I was about two weeks ago.[/background]

Ill post some more and update tomorrow night hopefully. They are all starting to pump out their first and second set of leaves and looking pretty decent. I'm having a tough time with the Naga's but hopefully they will pull through.

Looking GREEN dude.

Yea buddy! Thanks for stoppin by!

What the hell man, how did you get those Scotch Bonnets and Bhuts to grow so incredibly fast, they are like one and a half month old but look like they are 3 months old!

They are under T5's 24/7.

Your plants are doing much better than my soil plants, such fast and healthy growth you got going there :)

Thanks a lot. Things are going good and keepin em happy!

wow.. those plants look hella better than the ones i have.. how long since under t5s have they been under... shows how they can grow with the right TLC.... wish mine were like that,... good growing....;

I planted seeds in the end of March so about 5 weeks give or take a couple days. Thanks man. Appreciate the kind words!

Lookin pretty bad ash dude! Wowzers those babies are green! You are :onfire:

Thanks alot GOLD!

I moved some plants into a makeshift greenhouse over the weekend and they seem to be liking it. And good news, I found Fatalis and Chocolate Habs at a local nursery and picked up 2 of each. Completely blew my mind. I really wanted a both of them and to happen to just stumble upon them was crazy to me. So now I have 30 I started from seed and 4 I picked up at the nursery. Pics!!!

The babies are hardening off. They were wayyyyyyyyyyyy to crowed under that light. Still have 10 under the T5 though. Most will be getting potted up early tomorrow morning. It was 80 something degrees here today and sunshine. Nice breeze. These are the days you thank god for being alive.

Dang yo, those plants are lookin' sweet. They are magmarvelous. Nice work Jamieson. Once I get my license back, I will have to swing out that way and check out your grow. If that happens sometime this year. Keep it up!

Woaaaahhhh - Your plants lookin' really good Jamison!

If only my soil plants was as healthy as yours I'd sleep well at night lol

I realize more and more that I need to learn soil better. Think I have a tendency to use/make bad draining soil. Looks like you got masses of perlite added in there!

Lookin good J! My Giant Bhuts just seem to be slow growers! I really can't wrap my head around it, but I guess it is just the luck of the draw. Yours and SGs are lookin great and mine....:( hopefully they pull through!

Thanks slashroot. I seen your glog and your doing just fine man. Yes, perlite is a great amendment. I use 3 parts organic soil, 1 part perlite, and 1 part vermiculite. Also add a little mychorrizae to the bottom of the hole that the plant is getting transplanted in. Works great for me.

I know the feeling. They will pull through. Weird cause it was actually my best grower so far this season besides the scotch bonnets. Always a pleasure when you stop by man. Thanks!

Went outside just now and noticed that there is a Hot Cow Horn poddin up! It's pretty short yet, like nine inches tall, but the stalk on this thing is beastly already and flowering everywhere. I got another one as well that I've been picking buds off but decided to let this one go. Needs me some pizza pepper. Cool night shot, the flash sucks tho.

UDATE 5/27/12

Things are still going real well. They got their first bit of rain ever yesterday and seem to like it. I have been picking buds/flowers off like crazy and decided today screw it. Won't be long now. Probably a month or two and my ass will be on fire! Actually sooner cause Romy6 is sending me a sampler platter of goodies! Cannot wait for it. Here's some pics.......

We'll start it off with a couple of Butch T's

Happy growin everyone!

Looking great Jamison! Those Scotch Bonnets are pretty sick, I love when the leaves get that big! I also gave up picking off all the flowers, I figured that they will drop on their own until they are ready to set fruit. I have about 5 or 6 Biker Billys and a few cayennes now. I am getting excited and hope that my chinense start podding up in the next month or so. I am gonna be in Cali for a few weeks next month, and if they start to set fruit when I leave, by the time I get back they will be ripenin up! Leave the buds, it won't matter much in the long run.

Great Update! Happy Growin!

Thanks man. The Scotch Bonnets really need a transplant, maybe tomorrow. It was suppose to rain so I was holding out for some reason. Yup, done picking flowers off. I'll let em split off and do their thang! I just ordered some Biker Billy's and can't wait till next year already. Good luck on your trip to Cali and be safe man. Hopefully you'll have some new pod pornage when you arrive back home. Thanks for checking in Gold!
