Jay's Bonzai

Currently cut down one of my carrot/jalapeno plants (not sure what it was never grew large enough )

Potted it up in a bonzai pot, new sprouts are shooting out which is good, ill get some photos up soon


Ill keep it posted here so if people are interested they can follow progress.

I love to hear that people are taking their plants indoors---unfortunately I lost my camera or I would have shown you my living room planter with 120 peppers in it.

Oh well maybe when I get another camera.

This is my only indoor plant as its coming up to summer now (although all my plants are under shade cloth all day due to the weather here.)

However i cut this one down to get some indoor stuff going that is small.

Also i love the look of some of the varieties esp the smaller upright pod chillis when they are in bonzai form.

There is a possibility i will be also doing this to my capsicum (bell pepper) plant soon as its stalk is very thick and woody

Ok after about a week or so of being cut down there is some good new growth. A bunch of nodes have new leaves and branches coming out.

The tree wasnt as big as i hoped before i chopped it down but its a good start.


I have a few big ones im going to cut up this afternoon.
