I feel your pain Joe, I told myself I was going to tone it down this year because of the pepper maggots but i just can't do it.

Is tha pasilla hard to germinate? Its been 30 days and no loops. I'm trying a new batch in a coffee filter. Maybe I got a bad batch of seeds.:(

Same with my poblano...

my pasilla bajio seeds I planted took about 1 week (or less maybe ?) to sprout up. & most of them are working on their 10th set of leaves right now.
BTW nice selection of chiles for this season!

 welcome to the club, its starts out with only a couple plants 1st season, then next season its doubled, then next season its doubled again

I'd send you some seeds, but I dont feel right trading my seeds with others here cuz I've had some issues with my plants/soil for some chiles over the years. main reason why I've never joined the seed parcel trade.
I'm gonna try new soil/seeds this year for everything & most likely start over with the seeds :(

Well its FREE trade? As long as you tell people up front, right?
I gotta ask ya... is that your eyeball on your avatar? Maybe just changed the color? It looks awsome!

joe - I'm being straight up honest with ya! I dont think you'd want my seeds! I've had some plants every year get some kind of disease & the U of M person thinks its some kind of tobacco mosaic virus.
though not every plant gets it but whos to say its not in the seeds if it can be transfered to the seeds for next season ?

so now do you really want to take that risk ? I dont think so!
that is why I've NEVER offered my seeds to anyone here! I wouldnt feel right doing this.
& let myself deal with my own soil issues :(

I dont know how or where it came from but I remember several years ago I didnt have this issue! that is why I'm trying new seeds & soil from another location to start all over - instead of the soil I've been using over the past couple years.

they say pasilla bajio is TMV resistant, those plants I grew last year looked fine & didnt have any signs, but you better think hard before asking if you'd want some seeds! & I doubt I'd even send them to you cuz of the reason I told you.(theres no reason to spread this!)

you wanted up front & honest, & now I told you why, & I never mentioned this here before but have shown pictures once.
there now everyone knows why I've never taken part in any seed exchange.

no its not my eye.

now that this is out, I can kiss trading good bye down the road even if I used different soil & seed stock w/o any problems. but I dont blame anyone I'd be leary too! I'm just forced to by seeds from now on.

Ok. thats fine. This is my first time starting from seed so I have my hands full anyways! I know I will have a ton of questions for you this spring though.:)
